Because of the versatility of the process and the simplicity of its equipment and operation, manual metal arc welding is one of industry’s most popular welding processes. It dominates other welding processes in the maintenance and repair industry.
As with all our processes we can arrange a training package to suit your needs and speed, if its only 1 day for structural steel welding to AS/NZS 1554 or 2 weeks for full penetration pipe welding to ASME IX or AS/NZS 3992, we tailor the training to suit your needs. Also we are the only training facility in Australia that have testing facilities in house to qualify weld procedures & welders with results being available quickly, sometimes the SAME DAY!!!
In the workshop we have multiple different machines available for MMAW ranging from 220 amps to 450 amp output, we stock Cellulose electrodes, Rutile / General purpose electrode, Iron powder electrodes & of course Low hydrogen electrodes (E7016/18) as they are the most popular choice of electrode for welding carbon steel in the industry but this can vary to suit your needs.
